Windows 95/98/ME Settings
| 1. Double-click 'My
Computer'. (In Win ME you will need to double click 'Control Panel' first to get to 'Dial-Up Networking'.) 2. Double-click 'Dial-Up Networking'. 3. Click 'WorldPath' with the right mouse button. NOTE: This icon may have different names or there may be many icons here. You may/should need to go into the connection properties of Internet Explorer and determine which connectoid you are using prior to editing. ![]() |

| NOTE: In most
cases this screen will be ok, but you should double check the phone number you are dialing (Choose the number local for you. Check our Phone Numbers page if you are unsure what number to dial). Some people in state may experience dialing problems because of the check mark in the box for "Use country code and area code" (Or "Use area code and Dialing Properties") so you may need to remove it. If you have changed to the correct phone number, and do not want to check your other dial-up settings, click "OK" now. If you would like to continue checking settings, continue to step 5. 5. Click 'Server Type' to get this screen. NOTE: Server Type will be a tab at the top in Windows 98 and Windows 95B. For Win ME, you'll need to click on the 'Networking' tab. ![]() |

Confirm that 'Enable software compression' and 'TCP/IP' are the only options
checked, and that 'Type of Dial-Up Server' is 'PPP: Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5, Internet' 7. Click 'TCP/IP Settings'. 8. Check 'Server assigned IP address' and 'Specify name server addresses', Enter 'Primary DNS' and 'Secondary DNS' for domain (WorldPath shown/LRNet Primary 64.140.192.60 Secondary 64.140.193.60). Ensure 'Use IP header compression' and 'Use default gateway on remote network' are checked. |

Double-click 'Network' NOTE: There may be many different possibilities for this screen, to configure settings edit the items based on the information on this webpage and the others in most instances will be removed during restart. The obvious exceptions will be network cards and AOL adapters, they stay. If you are on a local area network (office/business environment) you should contact your network administrator prior to editing any of the below information. IF Client for Microsoft Networks is missing it is not necessary to install it. If TCP/IP is missing it WILL need to be installed. (Windows 95 CD-ROM/disks may be necessary) Click ADD and then double-click Protocols and then click Microsoft under Manufacturers then double-click TCP/IP under Protocol to add it. ![]() |
| 4. Set 'Primary
Network Logon' as 'Windows Logon'. NOTE: Do not change this if you are on a local area network (Network card installed would be a clue) contact your network administrator. 5. Click 'Client for Microsoft Networks' and click 'Properties'. ![]() |

again. 19. If a window requesting you restart the computer pops up, click 'Yes'. NOTE: After restarting it should all be ready to go, however quite often the Username on the connect to screen is incorrect so bring up connect to screen and check username. |
